ChristianExodus.org

Just when I thought I had heard everything silly under the sun along comes something even more bizzare. Round up the haters that can't stand the thought of having gay neighbors as equals, we've got ourselves a road trip! I will buy anyone a one way bus ticket if they promise not to come back! Here is an portion of what is said:

ChristianExodus.org is moving thousands of Christians to South Carolina to reestablish constitutionally limited government founded upon Christian principles. It is evident that the U.S. Constitution has been abandoned under our current federal system, and the efforts of Christian activism to restore our Godly republic have proven futile over the past three decades. The time has come for Christian Constitutionalists to protect our liberties in a State like South Carolina by interposing the State's sovereign authority retained under the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

When living in Milford, CT Raymond and I experienced something similar known as "Red Lining" by the natives. It seems that when the inner city folk get too close to upper class white suburbia they would start selling off. We were against the sea shore and I saw sign after sign for sale. When I asked why they were all selling at once, this was the response I got.

Hmmmm, I wondered why I see "For Sale" signs popping up all over my neighborhood right next neighbors with "Vote No on 1" (our state's anti-gay amendment) signs in their yards.

Maybe it suddenly occured to them that not every single person they see is straight or as bigoted as they are.

I say good riddance. Let us decent folks live in peace so we can bring our cities back to prosperity.

Funniest thing about it is this; We gay will live in old neighborhoods that have fabulous old houses, but are now in high crime areas. We don't really care because pretty much where ever we go people are going to be assholes to us, and we usually don't need to worry about the school systems. We spruce up a house and yard, next thing other people are doing it, and then the prices start to go up as more gay people and supporters move into the nieghborhood. Re-gentrification in Lynn can almost entirely be attributed to the gay community. To have a gay neighbor makes the land value go up! lol

It's funny. All around my neighborhood it's basically crack and crime infested, but even on the border between here and there you can find a redone house going for $200-$300K. My neighborhood is loaded with gay and gay-friendly people.

The "gay business district" here was once a haven for druggies and the homeless. Now it's a thriving area for new business.

We don't go for the McMansions an hour out of town in gated communities with people that enjoy telling you to keep their grass cut at 1/2 inch or they'll get nasty grams from the HOA, which is the social kiss of death. We rebuild their cities, not run from them once 5 o'clock rolls around.
