Richard Land, Christian Post Guest Columnist is real worried now. He is afraid that the gays are going to come to Iowa.
"This ruling turns Iowa into a destination for same-sex 'marriages.' No doubt there are weekend travel packages already being planned. Iowa will soon be the Las Vegas of same-sex “marriage” for America."
But then he complains that the gays won't stay:
"And you know those folks won’t be resettling in the Hawkeye State, but will be heading back home–perhaps to your state. "
HUH ?
Well, Mr. Land, let me clue you in. You're a dinosaur; your side has already lost, you just don't know it yet. Not long from now, marriage will be for everyone, everywhere, and in the meantime, why don't you just take their money, it's just as green as the money spent in Michigan.
Nate Silver, statistician extraordinnaire, crunches the numbers, and the trend is clearly on our side.

I can safely say to those who think people will flow to Iowa that they do not have much to worry about. Wisconsin criminalizes gay marriage here and also if people go to other states, marry and return to Wisconsin they face criminal charges. People from this state would either have to stay living in Iowa or remain here in Wisconsin and not marry. It is much easier just to remain in your home state and fight for your equal rights than to be like me here in Wisconsin and face 9 months prison time or up to a $10,000 fine. I think alot of us are looking to liberate our states rather than relocate.
Kim, can you cite that statute for us? It is hard to imagine that this is real in our day and age, it is reminicent of Loving vs. Virginia 1967 where Virginia prosecuted the Lovings for marrying in another state where interracial marriage was legal.
There has to be a GLBT same sex couple willing to deny this order for the sake of the good the attention will create.
